There are several options that can be used to control the SIF import.  The options portion of the window is shown below.  The options should be set before the import is done and will automatically be saved even after the window is closed.

SIF Import -options

 

Import

Show Product No. In Item Description and Show Product No. In Component Description - will cause the product number to be placed before the product description in either the item or component description respectively.
Place Product No. Into Mfg. Catalog No. - is used to control whether or not the product number will be placed into the component’s Mfg. Catalog No. Field.  Usually this option and the “Show Product No. In Component Description” are not both checked.
Show Options In Item Description and Show Options In Component Description - will show additional catalog numbers such as Paint color, Fabric type, etc. from the SIF file in the respective description.  The option text will be preceded by the text that is in the Title text box.
Append Option Numbers to Product No - Option numbers can also be appended to all occurrences of the product number. They will be separated by the symbol entered into the Separator text box.
Show Attributes in Item Description; Title and Show Attributes in Component Description - will show the Attributes from the SIF file in the respective description.  The Attribute text will be preceded by the text that is in the Title text box.
Suppress Option Numbers in Description - this option will tell Design Manager to NOT add the Option Numbers to the Description.
Suppress Attribute Numbers in Description - this option will tell Design Manager to NOT add the Attribute Numbers to the Description.

 

Sidemark

Use Tag as Sidemark - will place the tag specified in the SIF file into the sidemark field of the respective component.
Use Project Sidemark - will place the default sidemark from Design Manager into the field.
Append Tag to Project Sidemark - will combine both the Tag and Project Default Sidemark into the sidemark field of the component.

 

Inventory

Attempt retrieve from Stock; WH - if your SIF file Product No. is the same as your Design Manager Stock No., then you can have the import attempt to retrieve the Item from your Stock Items; Enter the Warehouse code to retrieve from using the WH field.
Allow Over-committing - this option will allow the Stock Item to Commit to the Project, even if the On-Hand quantity is less than the to be committed quantity.
Match Product No. to Stock No. and Match Product No. to Mfg. Cat. No. - you can choose to match the SIF file Product No. to the Stock No. or the Mfg. Cat. No. in the Design Manager program.
